The Morgan Family: Happy Birthday, Kate!

We have another birthday in our family today! Kate turned 7 years-old! I have never witnessed a child that was so excited for her birthday (probably due to the fact that her brother and sister have both had a birthday this last week!) Kate even got to have a little celebration in her first grade class! Her teacher, Mrs. Riddle, was so sweet and made it such a special day for her. First thing this morning, her teacher gave Kate a little "birthday" hat. Then, each child in the class wrote her a birthday letter and they all said some very sweet things about her. I brought a few scrapbook pages from when she was younger for her to share with the class and then I read her a little "love note" that I wrote. She then got to share her favorite treat (homemade m&m cookies) and we read her favorite storybook (Flora's blanket). After school, Jason and Emily had piano lessons in Cedar City, so we spent the afternoon in Cedar. We went and had lunch at Costa Vida and Kate wore her "birthday" hat EVERYWHERE! She wanted everyone to know that it was her birthday - it was so cute! Tonight, we had a little birthday celebration with Grandpa & Grandma Morgan, Paul, Teresa, Abby, Gavin, and Amy. Kate also had some nice birthday calls from Grandpa & Grandma Phil, the Feller family, Aunt Jill & Uncle Jeff Nelson, and Uncle Jeff Morgan. Thank you so much for the calls! She also hit the jackpot in the gift department - a gift card, money, a watch, a Littlest Pet Shop toy, a purse, lip gloss, soap and bath stuff, a Razor scooter, and a new shirt that she got to wear to school today! Kate & Emily also got a set of scripture DVDs and we can't to start watching those!

We are so happy that Kate is a part of our family. She is always sweet and kind to others. She is a good friend, good sister, and a great daughter. We love you, Kate! Happy Birthday! Here are a few pictures of Kate:
