I know that I haven't posted in a while, but the summer keeps plugging along and each day seems busier than the next! Early this month, Grandpa Phil got to come and visit - all the way from Texas. He was only here for a couple of days, but we had a nice time. Next time he better stay A LOT longer (and bring Grandma, too!) The kids had fun eating cereal with him every morning (a tradition that started when Jason was a baby), they had fun "competing" with Grandpa on the Wii (Kari even beat Grandpa at the fishing game and the girls always beat him at the matching Mii game), and they even went on a walk. Fun, fun!! We attempted to go fishing at the resevoir one night while he was here, but the wind was so bad that we couldn't even get a line out very far. So -- we settled with cooking hot dogs on the little grill out by the water. Although we would like to have fished, it was still a really fun (and cold) evening! Grandpa's visit couldn't have been all fun -- I always have a project or two (or three) for him to work on. He helped us set up a fish tank, he put together my rotating can shelf (thanks!) and he worked on one of our computers so that it is usable again. All in all it was a great visit! We love having him come to visit! Thanks Grandpa Phil!
