Happy Birthday, Kari!

Today was the day that Kari has been looking forward to - it's FINALLY her 5th birthday! She woke up to everyone singing "Happy Birthday" to her and got to open up her new birthday clothes. This evening we had a big family birthday party for her since all of Gary's family is in town for the 4th of July holiday. All the kids got to take a shot (or two) at a pinata filled with tons of candy and toys and had fun eating all the treats. Kari had a cute cake with butterflies and flowers all over it and, of course, she got all the things she wanted (plus a little more) - a slip 'n slide, toy horses, lip gloss, a Hannah Montana outfit and purse, a doll and a gift card. She was a pretty happy girl and had a hard time going to sleep!

Kari is such a fun little girl and is pretty much happy and smiling most of the time. We love her so much and are so happy that she's part of our family. Here are some younger pictures of Kari as well her birthday pictures (be prepared for lots of pictures - I had a hard time choosing just a few):
